ILL is a free service through which the DML can get a copy of an article or book you need from another library. You can request an ILL by emailLoansomeDoc, phone, or in person.

Article requests are filled in 1 to 3 business days on average; book requests can take from 2 days to 2 weeks. If your item is urgent or related to patient care, please let us know so we can expedite the request.

The library that fills your article request will usually email the article directly to you at the email you used to make the request. Since the article is not coming directly from the DML, please be on the lookout and also check your junk mailbox.

Books are mailed directly to the library, and the interlibrary loan technician will notify you when your book is ready for check out.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional assistance!
