The DHA Global Service Center has this information on Clearing the cache on Chrome and Edge resolves an authentication issue where your CAC was not recognized. It was provided to correct this error: "Please verify that the DoD approved CAC, ECA, or VA PIV reader middleware is installed and functional on your machine. After verification please close your browser and try again."
Google Chrome
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More .
- Click More tools Clear browsing data.
- At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
- Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
- Click Clear data.
- Restart Chrome.
MS Edge
- Select Settings and more in the top-right (...), then click on Privacy & services.
- Under Clear Browsing Data, select Choose what to clear.
- Check Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data, then select Clear now.
- Restart the browser.
