ILL is a free service through which the DML can get a copy of an article or book you need from another library. You can request an ILL by email, phone, or in person.

Article requests are filled in 1 to 3 business days on average; book requests can take from 2 days to 2 weeks. If your item is urgent or related to patient care, please let us know so we can expedite the request.

Your article request will come directly from the DML staff.

Books are mailed directly to the library, and the interlibrary loan technician will notify you when your book is ready for check out. Bear in mind, if you just need a single chapter, many lending libraries will scan the chapter and email it to you, which is much faster than waiting for them to get the book in the mail.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional assistance!
